Thursday, January 7, 2010 - Update

Wow, I have absolutely nothing to talk about. I could mention how cold it is here. . .lows in the negatives. Or, how Olivia pushed the button on the carbon monoxide detector and made it beep really loud. It scared her silly and now she won't walk down the hallway by herself. Or, the fact that I'm performing at halftime with Jazzercise at a Shockers game next week. That's a big thing for me considering a year ago I could barely get out of bed. Other than that, not too much to talk about. I hope all of you are staying warm tonight.

Tuesday, January 5, 2010 - Update

Have I told you how much I love kids' drawings. . .especially in the 7-8 year old range? When I student taught second grade, the kids would draw pictures of me wearing shirts that said, "I ♥ Kids!" or "I Rock!" That always brought such a smile to my face. What an ingenious way to express how you feel about someone! So, I had to smile when Katie drew this picture of Olivia wearing a shirt that said, "Rock Star." It just made me realize how much Olivia is adored by all of her cousins and by everyone else who knows her. She sure deserves the adoration.

Monday, January 4, 2010 - Update

Okay, so I haven't taken any pictures in the last few days, but I took A LOT of pictures the other day. How adorable does Olivia look in pigtails? I've learned that if she stands on her step stool and washes her hands/plays in the sink, I can do pretty much anything to her hair. Normally, I can't even brush it without causing tears. I'm pretty excited about this discovery. . .too bad it doesn't work with nail clipping and hair cuts.
