This has been a week of new experiences for Abigail. She got her first taste of baby food and she's in love with squash and carrots! Seriously, this girl loves food and gets so excited when she simply sees her bib. We also brought up some old toys from storage including the jumparoo. Abigail doesn't really jump in it, but she loved to stand in it and play with the toys. And Olivia thought she needed to play in it again too. LOL! A little tall for it, Olivia.

Ice Ice Baby

We are having some crazy weather this month. Last night we were under a severe thunderstorm watch with a winter weather advisory. Temps were 70+ yesterday and 32 today.

Lots and lots of ice and downed trees everywhere. Thankfully the roads were okay to get Olivia to school. But, I thought I had packed the winter clothes away for the last time. Nope.

She's not so happy right now as we have lost power about 10 times today. She's trying to nap in her swing and it keeps quitting on her. She doesn't like when the music stops.

On Monday, we were eating Popsicles outside! Ugh. Winter is never ending this year. Hope you are all staying warm. How is the weather where YOU live today?

Picture Day

Today was picture day at preschool. Olivia and I had so much fun getting ready. She let me buy her a new outfit, paint her nails, do her hair and I let her wear lipgloss. Usually Olivia does not care at all about this girly stuff, but today she was excited. And the pictures turned out GORGEOUS!! They even captured her natural smile. Can't wait to share them with you. Here are a couple I took before school.

Abigail and Olivia

Photo: This little girl loves food!

When I took this above picture of Abigail today, I had a strange sense of déjà vu.  So, I looked back through Olivia’s pictures and found out why.  They are so much alike sometimes!!  Crazy.

Here is Olivia in July 2008.

Rice Cereal

Abigail tried rice cereal for the first time today and loved it. I was only expecting her to eat a few bites, but she ate almost the whole thing. By the end she was pulling my hand up towards her open mouth. I'm not used to mealtime being a fun time, so it's a first for both of us. :-)
