Today was a busy day. First, we celebrated my grandpa's 87th birthday. I feel so grateful that my daughter has been able to meet her great-grandparents.
Izzy and Shelley
They had a blast spinning around in a chair.
My grandpa's new wheels.
Then, tonight. . .Shelley and I headed to Wicked. It would have been an awesome day if I hadn't had this headache for the past 8 hours. Ughhh. . .

Love Olivia's outfit!
I'm not sure how the Pediasure is going to work. I didn't want to switch him over cold turkey, so I'm cutting it half and half with his formula for a few days. Even then it smells so sweet I can't imagine it at full strength. I think we are going to add a bit of cow's milk to it when we do make the full switch just to keep it from be so sweet and rich (which might seem like it defeats the purpose, but we'll see). I am hoping once Rhys gets better at eating more varieties of table food he'll compensate for the calories he needs to put on a little more weight. He still looks chubby though and far from unhealthy so no one is concerned right now. His nutritionist did say there are a few more routes to go to get even more calories in his milk. The Pediasure is 30 calories per ounce (compared to 20 for formula and about 17 for whole milk), and they offer a form of Kids Essentials at 40 calories an ounce though I can't imagine how thick and rich that would be. Anyway, I feel your pain. It seems like we're always pushing the highest calorie foods at him trying to make him take a few more in every day. Sort of the opposite mentality of most parents, they want to keep their kids fit but in the opposite way as us. :o) Hope all is well with you guys, it seems like your new kitty has been a God send for your family.

Sounds fun. My daughter is going to the Wicked later this week. I hope you had a good time.
