What a boring day! The weather has been bad, so Olivia and I stayed home all day. Boy, how did I get through 2 winters of being holed up in the house? No wonder I was so horribly depressed and tired. I contemplated giving Olivia a Christmas present just to have something else to do. We've read books, done puzzles, played Little People, watched Praise Baby, watched Elmo, colored, listened to music, danced, ate snacks, destroyed the house, cleaned up the house, destroyed it again. . .I'm out of ideas. And, we didn't even nap, which would have sped the day up nicely. And, it seems there's going to be more of this tomorrow.

lol.. I have totally already given in to the winter boredom and gave Jake a couple Christmas presents.. lol.. it was worth it! DO IT! haha.. plus he accidentally opened the closet with some presents IN it.. so... didn't have a choice... haha.. I know.. winter in the the house can be sooooo boring.. and yes, depressing!... Does Olivia like Play-dough yet? Nathan really gets into it... didn't know if she liked the texture of it or not... you could try it :) Is the weather there really bad?
Boy, you're not very grateful for what you have, are you? Complain, complain...in almost every single post..
G.B....RUDE!! She's been through a ton. And this is HER blog....she's got every right to complain if she wants to!
Playdough would be a great idea... you could let Olivia help you make it and even add things like sand (or sugar) to it for texture. I'd start out with regular play dough first though to "ease" her into it. You can find recipes online and even let her pick the colors she wants it to be! two birds with one stone.. you can make it and waste time and then waste time playing with it!
jodi-from one grateful SAHM to another, I hear ya my friend! It is hard to be cooped up all day with a 2 year old! One day is okay...2 in a row is painful! It's different when we can at least go run off some energy outside!!
I'm so glad you 'keep it real!' on your blog. It's your blog, we're all doing life together, and not all days are sunshine and light. And sometimes we just need to debrief the rough stuff! That doesn't make us UNGRATEFUL for all the goodness!
I read blogs because I enjoy them. If I find one I don't enjoy, I don't keep reading it. It's a good practice, don't you think?
Holy crap. I don't know who G.B. is (and it's funny how he/she apparently doesn't want anyone to know) but if I did find out who he/she is, there would be some serious words exchanged. I would threaten worse, but I wouldn't want to break the law.
Jodes,
I really hope you don't let that comment get to you (although I know you probably will). All of the people who care about you know that you are eternally grateful for Olivia and your life. Who cares what naysayers say and think? We certainly don't.
To G.B.:
I hope you never have to experience what Jodi and Ryan have gone through. But maybe if you had or had taken the time to read through the 2.5 years of blog posts you wouldn't have felt the need to "complain" about Jodi's blog. Take your negativity elsewhere. You're not welcome here.
LOL, so weird. I just read all the comments -- what an unexpectedly controversial post. I clicked comments to say "you are such a great mommy!" Looks like Olivia is having a blast. Winters are long, germy, and lonely-- I like to be out and about and being cooped up is hard.
Oh, and PS -- when I read the G.B. comment the first time, I actually thought it was friendly sarcasm from someone who must a good friend of yours. LOL, "ungrateful" and "complaining" aren't words I would use to describe your blog. C'est la vie!
