Monday, August 11, 2008 - Update

None of us have been getting much sleep at night. We can barely get Olivia to bed before 11 pm, she's up multiple times at night and awakes at around 6 am. Today, Aunt Kimmy found two bottom teeth trying to poke through. I've been suspecting teeth for quite some time, but this whole teething thing keeps dragging on and on. Olivia went over to Grandma and Grandpa Glunt's today because Great-Grandma was in town. She probably thinks her great-granddaughter is a crabby baby. . .she's really not. We came home and I gave her some Tylenol and orajel. We're doing a little bit better. Let's hope these teeth are a little kinder to us all.

Hey Jodi,
The teething issue is STILL a problem with Ellie. We started using teething tablets (same ones that Heather is using) and they work great for her. You can buy them at Walgreens and I think they carry them at Target now. I will email you the specific name of them later. They have worked wonders for us!!!

She wasn't THAT crabby! Actually, it was nice to hear her really cry. I know that sounds nuts but after seeing her in the hospital completely silent it was wonderful to hear her CRY! We also got to hear her say "dadadadada" It was great to see you.

You might have thought that she was crabby, but she was just fine. We have all heard babies cry. It bothered you more than it did us. I totally enjoyed my Olivia time today, and I am glad that you joined us for lunch.

See my kids could have cared less for the teething tablets?? I am sorry that Olivia is having a rough time with it. I can only say it does get better. It seems like the first teeth are the worst and after that they know the sensation and it doesn't seem to bother them as bad. Hang in there guys!! Crystal Hanson
