Potty Training

IMGP6602

Olivia with Grandpa and Grandma Sailing (found this picture from Thanksgiving that I never posted.)

Well, after 6+ hours, I think we’re done potty training for the day.  We had 3 accidents and no successes, but we’re not giving up.  Olivia just wanted to take a nap, so I put her back in a diaper.  Olivia seems sooo ready in some areas and not ready at all in others.  I am exhausted. . .we went every 15 minutes from 8:30 – 12:30 and then every 20-30 minutes.  I know it takes awhile for some kids and she’ll do it when she’s ready.  This potty training stuff is hard!!  And messy!

I really like the picture of Olivia with your parents. They look so proud and she looks so adorable. I like her sweater.

Wishing you lots of luck with the potty training. Each time I think Madison is ready I'm wrong. I think it's just one of those things. Olivia will master it just as she has everything else.

Yes, every 15 minutes the timer went off and we sat on the potty. . for 6 hours!!!

oh don't give up! She is certainly old enough and at some point it will get embarrassing for her to still be in diapers. Don't give up. Live with the 2 weeks of messes and a washing machine that runs NON STOP and then the seemingly unreasonable regressions but it's all worth it in the end. If you keep giving up, then she will think it's okay to quit too.
