Friday, September 28, 2007 - Update and Praise!

I am happy to tell all of you that Logan has urinated about 223 cc since midnight. His vent settings were turned down and his oxygen is down to around 36%. He is doing great today. I don’t know if it was the hydrocortisone, the dopamine or a combination of everything, but his body is getting rid of the excess fluids. Praise God!! Abraham Lincoln once said,” I have been driven many times to my knees by the overwhelming conviction that I had nowhere else to go.” I have prayed out of such desperation over the past month. Our prayers are being answered and Logan is finally having a good day!

Ryan and Jodi,
My heart and prayers goes out to you and your sweet little twins. I was so happy to read that Logan is having a good day and hopefully many more to come! And to see Olivia content and eyes wide open-what a strong little girl. I hope by the power of prayer these babies will be given the strength to grow and be able to go home with you soon!

I think I have finally figured out how to leave a comment. Anyway, I do want you to know that one of the first things I do everyday is pray for all of you, and especiallly little Logan & Olivia. Your updates give us new hope and reassures us that they are in God's tender care and we can just pray that He will give their doctors the knowledge they need to care for these precious little miracles. They are in the hearts of all of us and our prayers also go out to you for the strength and understanding that only God can give you as parents. What a "beautiful family!"

What awesome news! Praise God.

Often time we don't understand why God chooses to do what he does to the 'faithful'. "Why me?" and "What did I do wrong?" are easy questions. Having 'watched' you these last few weeks I am completely convinced that God chose you because you are faithful. He knew you would not turn your back on Him. Instead, he knew that you would turn completely to him in humble adoration and say 'help'. Exactly what he wants to do. But even more than that, he knew that you would be a billboard to the world showing your love for Him, O&L, each other, doctors, etc. Love - exactly what he calls us to do. Numerous times each day I come to check on the status of O&L and just now realize that all throughout the good and bad you are constantly speaking in love.

This challenge you are going through reminds me of Rachel Scott who was killed in the tragedy at Columbine. She knew it was not about her, but about Jesus Christ in her. Even still today her story continues to be told and is an encouragement to many. Your challenge is also not about you. God wants this to be about Him. He wants to receive the honor and glory through all of this.

I know that through your actions and your openness on this site I am growing in my faith daily. I have spent more time in prayer in the last month than I probably did in the last year combined. I have spent more time listening to Christian radio because of the songs that play when I read about the babies. I spent more time doing 'nothing' with my kids just because I know 'nothing' time is exactly what they want with me.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for being such a positive encouragement and shining example in this challenge. God is using you to set a fire in the hearts of many. This is your mission field and many are being blessed.

God bless and stay strong.

Hello,
I am a friend of Omli's. I just wanted to tell you about my cousin who delivered twins at 23 weeks. Today they are fine and are thriving 5th graders who love to read and learn. Our family is praying for all of you.

It's the combination of the Hydrocortisone, Dopamine, and God's great love and power!! That is fabulous!
